Request for Applications (RfA) # PfC/Mar/2012
EWMI G-PAC invites Georgian civil society organizations (CSOs) and academic institutions to submit creative and innovative grant proposals for its second round of Partnership for Change (PfC) grant program. The PfC grant program is designed to reach out to formal and ad-hoc coalitions, networks and partnerships established around an advocacy issue that is of vital concern to Georgians. Thus, the PfC applicants must be formal or ad-hoc coalitions or networks, or partnerships of at least two organizations established around an advocacy issue.
The proposed PfC projects should (a) target issues that are of high priority to citizens; (b) be based on comprehensive, viable, and goal-oriented advocacy strategies involving intensive consultations with diverse stakeholders; (c) propose participatory and creative ways of direct citizen engagement in project activities; (d) support evidence-based advocacy and the development of concrete solutions to address the problems; and (e) promote effective coordination of the coalition's/network's/partnership's activities.
The PfC grant program encourages applications that:
** Address concerns related to one or more public priority areas, including, but not limited to: elections, economy, agriculture, healthcare, social assistance, education and affordable communal services (i.e. water, electricity, etc.);
** Propose activities that lead to increased cooperation among CSOs, government, the media, and citizens;
** Plan for public outreach activities that lead to enhanced public understanding of and engagement with the proposed advocacy campaigns.
Amount of PfC grant: Up to $60,000.
Duration of projects: Up to 18 months.
Deadline for requesting clarifications: March 15, 2012.
PfC application deadline: March 23, 2012 at 5:00 pm.
Language of აpplication: All applications must be submitted in English.
